Patricia Koysova
She creates her paintings by depositing basic colours in combination with white, black or shades of Payne’s grey, which she then blows, centrifuges, and defines, using compressed air. Believing in the power of monochromatic and reduced colouring, she seldom uses more than three shades in one picture. This symbolic painting by air has not limited her to a single means of creating pictures – Koysova has fully developed several principles to work with in diverse ways, and the spectator can intuitively discern the adaptable rules and approaches in the artist’s program.
